I just finished Great Apes by Will Self. It's a dagger-sharp parody of modern life, the Art World, and 'maverick' psychology. It's pretty soulless, however, but a fun read and clever as hell. Plenty of evidence that Self is a skilled writer. Definitely not heavy-duty reading, but good for a plane ride (or a week's worth of bus-commutes, which is how I read it). You should see some of the looks I get on the bus when people catch a glimpse of the stud on the cover!
