Will Self, who's novel, "Great Apes," I am currently reading, is much more interesting than I would have thought. This article, on Salon is a good little analysis of the book, which is weird and wonderful. I can't yet say whether it is deep, however. Self possesses a surgically precise touch for satire. Nice.
