Bad precedent in the making: "Pat Schroeder fighting the Libes". I think public libraries are just about the most altruistic thing our government's ever done. I mean, theoretically they should render colleges obsolete (to an extent: it's good to have teachers, of course. I'm refering to the idea of the Lyceum, a gathering place for information in a time when information was rare and had to be centralized). One can learn almost anything on one's own for free courtesy of Unkie Sam. Of course, it's too good to be true for much longer...(another downside of a president who doesn't read). HOW THE FUCK CAN SOMEBODY "NOT LIKE TO READ?!?!?" I can't fathom it.
