Scott Colburn is a magnificent recording engineer. He wrote a column for TapeOp for a while which may or may not reappear and has recorded The Sun City Girls, John Fahey, The Climax Golden Twins, the Young Composers Collective (now the Degenerate Art Ensemble) and even did some work on the Captain Beefheart box, Grow Fins. His studio, Gravelvoice and his label, Fire-Breathing Turtle are moist chewy gummi-bears in a sea of pea-gravel.[he also did some Derek Bailey and Residents stuff! So cool.]
