Autofellatio and Ontology / Isap kontol sendiri dan ontologi, Derrida, Heidegger..."Ancient Egyptian Religion and the Problem of Closure..." by David Lorton. [I've been reading this and it is amazing; it makes me think of course, of Sun Ra, and also Anthony Braxton, Gilles Deleuze, even Stockhausen, and I'm despondent that I can't find an extant image of the Dogon Egg on the Web. Via Robot Wisdom]

Papyrus Bremner-Rhind 28, 20–24

When I had come into being in the being of the Being One who came into being on the First Occasion,
when I had come into being in the being of the Being One,
it meant that my coming into being was the coming into being of beings,
for I am more primeval than the Primeval Ones whom I have created.

(Because) I have been primeval among the Primeval Ones,
my name is more primeval than they.
(And when) I had made the primevalness of the Primeval Ones,
I did my every wish in this land in which I had become broad.

I had clenched my fist,
when I was alone, before they were born:
I had not spat out Shu,
I had not sputtered out Tefnut

I had brought my own mouth,
my name was Magic:
it was I, who had come into being in being,
when I had come into being in the being of the Being One.

When I had come into being as the Primeval Ones,
a multitude of beings came into being at once, before any being came into being in this land.
I had made every created thing,
when I was alone, before any other came into being who might act with me in that place.

I made beings there through that "soul" (ba) of mine.

This story about ethics and business (again via Robot Wisdom) is grim alright.

As Easterbrook and Fischel so clearly show, the corporate world is now governed by an ideology that is rotten to the core. After all, as the great Chicago professors teach us, it is the duty of managers to violate the law when it is profitable to do so.

The author of the story is just off the mark when he points his finger at these 2 profs and the current corporate world. It is that capitalism itself holds this prerogative; to the 'corporation[w/o organs]' (as distinct from its constituent parts/participants/employees/shareholders) is only concerned with the bottom line. Just the facts, my lieges.
