In game 6 of the Lakers/Kings NBA series, near the final minutes, Kobe Bryant put a vicious elbow into the face of Mike Bibby, whose head snapped back like a boxer's. It was replayed many times, but the foul was called on Bibby despite the close proximity of the referees. Watching the replay, it is clearly intentional: Bryant looked right into Bibby's face, wrapped his left arm around his waist, and dealt some hate. I was sure he would be fined and/or suspended for game 7, but lo and behold there wasn't even mention of it in the paper the next day! It was the most savage act to go unpunished that I've ever seen in an NBA game. I mean, come on! If you do that on the playground you get jumped after the game. As a result, they won the game, then the series. (You probably didn't have me pegged as a hoop fan, did you?)
