I've been listening to Opium, by Bill Dixon, Franz Koglman, Steve Lacy and the amazing Alan Silva on bass and it's beautiful. I've never heard a trumpeter who can touch Dixon, and he's so much more than just a player (composer, painter, writer, thinker, teacher, organizer...) [more about Dixon | disc on loan from Elizabeth]
