U.S. law permits law enforcement agencies to engage in such trespass, specifically exempting any authorized law enforcement or intelligence actions from the federal computer crime laws. However, Russian computer crime laws do not provide the FBI with similar exemptions, and the Russians are now quite properly charging one of the FBI agents with criminal trespass into Russian computers.

I'm going to hear Kang Tae-Hwan tomorrow night. I have his recordings Mol-e Mori and Korean Free Music. The first features Wadada Leo Smith, the second, Evan Parker. I can't wait to hear Kang in person. His playing on record is astonishing - extensive circle-breathing giving Parker a run for his munny.
Also, I'm re-reading Gravity's Rainbow. Here's Prof. Irwin Corey's acceptance speech for the Nat'l Book Award in lieu of Pynchon. By the way, Corey is the "The Word's Foremost Authority," and his acceptance speech is pure improvised [fool's?] gold.
