Anecdotal Evidence

I've been listening to "classical" music lately. Or, I suppose "new music." Particularly Le marteau sans maƮtre, by Pierre Boulez; Symphonia, by Elliot Carter; Charles Ives; Carl Ruggles; and Anton Webern. [Speaking of Boulez: "All art of the past must be destroyed." Haha! As for Webern, his accidental murder at the hands of a U.S. soldier is a significant referent in Gravity's Rainbow,]

Other listening has included the extremely hyped and astonishingly un-disappointing Duos for Doris, by John Tilbury and Keith Rowe. The drone-based improv evidenced within is consistent with all of Rowe's current work.

I'm dying to get ahold of you have a great estate, general; we shall soon divide it amongst us, by Davu Seru and Andrew Lafkas, two of the most interesting and committed young players in the U.S.

My work with Harth has been intensifying and accelerating; our recent recordings are better than older ones and we have a longer chapter of shared experience to draw on and/or subvert.

This page has been getting quite diary-ish lately. Don't know how long it'll last, but get used to it, for now. The links should still provide you with sustenance in ways that stories of my life, sadly, cannot.
